in front of my camera! 

My name is Kate Blankenship and I am excited about getting to know you and making your photo dreams a reality!

This hobby turned side-business back in 2014 and I have had the pleasure of capturing thousands of moments in front of my lens What started as simply being my family's 'personal photographer' blossomed into a career that I sank my teeth into. I love every session, every family I meet, and the fun and unique experiences we share during our time together! 

Credit goes to my husband for coming up with the business name: This Blue Dog-we had a 15 year-old blue Pitbull named Dobbs and he was officially the first subject of photography for me when I finally invested in my first Canon. He was the best model and usually up for anything, if treats were involved of course!

I became a Mom in September of 2019 and our son has taken over the role of Mama's little model!  I knew I wanted a family one day and I wanted to be able to capture beautiful, high quality images to cherish for years to follow!

I am a wife, boy mom, dog mom, creator, baker, memory maker, lover of sports and music, and live for those candid moments you just can't pose!

Even though I do have full-time employment elsewhere, I continue to grow with every photograph I take in hopes that one day

I can make this my full-time focus!
